Specializing in creativity and awareness, her coaching approach is based on the ground-breaking work of brain scientist Candace Pert as it translates into personal inner work, inner knowing, and inner healing. This work then transpires into all areas of an individual's life. Anne truly loves connecting with others and teaching self-reliance and self-care in her workshops and public presentations.
A. Berube: "The most important journey you will ever take is the one you take within. Using breath, attention, and intention, we bring the underlying causes of our unconscious and limiting beliefs, values, behaviors, and choices into the light. I invite my clients to explore for themselves, in a supportive and compassionate conversation, who they really are, what they really want, and what brings them deep meaning. I use meditation and awareness techniques, as well as writing and inquiry to reduce the relentless mind chatter, to authentically connect with the emotions stored in the body’s nervous systems, and to support a self-actualized life."
Anita’s story will give you a renewed sense of who you truly are, why you’re here and how you can transcend any fear and self-rejection that defines your life.
~ Dr Wayne W. Dyer ~

Happy people are generally found to be healthy, sociable, flexible, creative, resilient, tolerant, and have a great capacity for love and forgiveness. The pursuit of happiness is a noble one and it can be contagious. It is interesting that something so simple remains so elusive for so many. True happiness is not related to pleasure or consumption, but is a by-product of love, meaning, and connection.
Anne Berube is a process oriented life coach who specializes in helping her clients find their sustainable happiness. Join her for a spirit-affirming, transformational weekend in an intimate group setting.

When Rachel was 12 years old, she received an assignment to give a speech for all the students at her School, on a topic that would be of interest to her. Rachel struggled to decide among the many topics that she was passionate about, ranging from GMOs and Animal Cruelty, to Poverty in Canada, and Global Deforestation. Eventually she decided on GMOs, as she felt it represented the most opportunity to change many lives, to better everyone’s health, and help improve our overburdened health care system.
After seeing Rachel present her message live we knew we had to help amplify this important voice. She is a truly inspiring person, challenging the powers-that-be with confidence and eloquence beyond her years.
Rachel founded the non-profit organization Kids Right To Know. We are pleased to support her and encourage you to do the same: http://www.kidsrighttoknow.com

Dr. Wayne Dyer was an internationally renowned author and speaker in the field of self-development. He's the author of 37 books, and routinely appears on public television and radio shows. Despite a childhood spent in orphanages and foster homes, Dr. Dyer has overcome many obstacles to make his dreams come true. Today he spends much of his time showing others how to do the same. Affectionately called the “father of motivation” by his fans, he travels the globe delivering his uplifting message, and continues to write from his home in Maui.
Autopoetic: We first worked with Dr. Dyer when we brought him to the Okanagan Valley in 2011 for an event called "Manifesting the Art of Manifestion." Dr. Dyer is living proof that it is possible for all of us to live extraordinary lives and achieve our deepest desires. He inspires us to honour our inner divinity and consciously choosing to live from our highest self. In 2013, over lunch in Halifax, we introduced Dr. Dyer to the Wheat Belly lifestyle (and later to Dr. Davis). The confluence of energy and information created by that meeting has helped manifest one of our great intentions: to reach millions of people with this message of hope and the call to take control of their own health and wellness.

Halifax, Nova Scotia
Our community is in dire need of a roadmap to a sustainable, healthier lifestyle. Just look at local obesity rates: 37.5% of Nova Scotia’s adults are overweight, and more than half of youth are overweight or obese. On January 25, two acclaimed personalities are in Nova Scotia to talk about the connection between these alarming stats and the food we eat.
Dr. William Davis, bestselling author of Wheat Belly, and Jeremy Seifert, Director of the film GMO OMG both reveal unsettling facts about the grains that have become the foundation of our food supply.
The ideas in NY Times Best Seller Wheat Belly represent a radical shift in the way we view food and a proactive approach to health and wellness. Many of the revelations are shocking and controversial. In this brand new presentation, Dr. Davis takes the conversation even further toward true health empowerment.
GMO OMG is a film that is winning documentary awards around the world. Prior to a screening of the film, Nova Scotia TV personality Nancy Regan will facilitate a conversation between Dr. Davis and filmmaker Jeremy Seifert. They will share their unique take on the truth about our food supply and also talk about an upcoming film project with strong Halifax connections.
GMO OMG director and concerned father Jeremy Seifert is in search of answers. How do GMOs affect our children, the health of our planet, and our freedom of choice? And perhaps the ultimate question, which Seifert tests himself: is it even possible to reject the food system currently in place, or have we lost something we can’t gain back? These and other questions take Seifert on a journey from his family’s table to Haiti, Paris, Norway, and the lobby of agra-giant Monsanto, from which he is unceremoniously ejected. Along the way we gain insight into a question that is of growing concern to citizens the world over: what's on your plate? - See more at: http://www.gmofilm.com/
Autopoetic: We first discovered Jeremy Seifert through his first feature doc, Dive! We’re pleased to have a chance to bring this talented and passionate young filmmaker to Halifax for a discussion and screening. Many thanks to the sponsors who helped make this happen: Ascenta Health and the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, Halifax.

An island hippy girl at heart, Ingrid’s life experiences are rather unique. At the age of 5 she'd meditate to feel the heartbeat of ancient trees and spent hours in solitude writing letters to God. A true lover of nature and animals, Ingrid proclaimed at the age of 6 she would be farmer, had her own baby deer, and grew a veggie garden. Having travelled extensively around the world, Ingrid has had some incredible experiences which include motorbiking across Southern India, deep water diving in the beautiful Bahamas, painting in South Africa, camel back riding in Egypt and party coordinating in Japan. Ingrid is the most fulfilled when she is travelling around the world with her main squeeze, Joshua Dawson. Together they are on a mission, to help others in need, shine their light, and bring joy to the world.

Started in 2011 under the guidance of Nali George, DFOS is one of Halifax's most successful and exciting fundraising events. The fundraiser gives local celebrities a chance put themselves in the shoes of a student with a learning disability. They are way outside of their comfort zones as they try to cram years of ballroom dance training into a few short months. On top of all that, they are raising money and awareness.
We are so proud of the role we play in this annual education conference. The first of our Un-Conference projects, Emergent Learning is meant to disrupt practices and policies that no longer serve and inspire positive change in the education system.
We can no longer educate based on what was, but must rise to the challenge to educate for a world that will be fundamentally different than the one we see today. While skills development continues to be critical, children will also need to be resourceful, mentally well, physically healthy, confident, and creative.
More than ever before, knowing oneself and one’s unique abilities will be essential. Self awareness and introspection inform an internal compass that says clearly, “this is who I am, and this is how I want to contribute to my world.”
In short, we need to create introspective life-long learners.
